1. In short

The Software does not collect information about you. It has no telemetry or advertising, and its only connection is an update check without an identifier. When you buy it, we process only what is needed to sell and deliver it.

2. The Software on your computer

Update checks	At most once a day, an HTTPS request is made to storagemanager.shop/maj/version.json. It sends no identifier or content from your computer. Its technical header only states the Software name and version. As with any website visit, the request reveals your IP address to the site host (see section 4). You can disable the check in the Help window. If you click “Update”, the installer is downloaded to the Windows temporary folder, verified, then removed after installation.
Telemetry, advertising	None.
Local reads	The folders you view, drive information and the list of installed applications read from the Windows registry. This information does not leave your computer.
Local writes	Under %LOCALAPPDATA%\StorageManager: sizecache.json (previously measured sizes, up to 24,000 entries), erreurs.log (a local technical log) and preferences.json (theme, language, settings and date of the last update check). Depending on the features used, this may also include sauvegardes\ (exports of deleted registry keys, written before each deletion, with a manifeste.json listing what was removed), surveillance\ (system snapshots before and after a monitored installation), index\ (file names from the indexed folder, never file contents) and empreinte.txt (if you run the footprint measurement). These files do not leave your computer and can be deleted without affecting the Software.
Deletion	Only at your request: the Recycle Bin by default, or permanent deletion after explicit confirmation.
Account, identifier	None. The Software asks for no name, email address or activation key.

3. When you buy the Software

Data: your email address, your name if you choose to provide it, order details (date, amount, receipt number and SumUp payment reference), and the number of downloads using your personal link. We never see your card number. Payment takes place on a page hosted by SumUp Limited, which processes payment information as a separate controller.

Purposes and legal bases: delivery of the Software and receipt, support and withdrawal requests (performance of the contract), and accounting (legal obligation). Retention: for the duration of the commercial relationship and then for the legally required period for accounting records, which is 10 years for receipts.

4. The website

No cookies, trackers, audience measurement, externally hosted fonts or third-party resources. The dark mode button stores your preference in your browser's local storage; this choice is never transmitted. Cloudflare hosts the site and retains technical connection logs (IP address, date and requested page) to keep it secure and available. The legal basis is legitimate interest.

If you email us, we keep your message and address while handling the request, then for no more than three years as evidence of support.

5. Recipients and transfers

Your data is never sold or exchanged. It is shared only with providers needed for the service: Cloudflare (website and order database hosting), SumUp (payment), Brevo (delivery email), and our accountant if applicable. When a provider processes data outside the European Union, the transfer is based on an adequacy decision by the European Commission or its standard contractual clauses.

6. Your rights

You have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and portability, subject to accounting retention obligations. Email info@storagemanager.shop; we will respond within one month. You may lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority in Brussels.

7. Security

The site and downloads use HTTPS. Download links are personal and cannot be guessed. Updates are signed, and the Software rejects files without the publisher's signature. The publisher stores no passwords or bank card details.

8. Changes to this policy

Any change to the Software or site that affects the data processed will be announced on this page with a new update date. The current version is the one published here.
