Software license and terms of sale

By purchasing, installing or using StorageManager (the “Software”), you enter into this agreement with the publisher and accept its terms. If you do not accept them, do not buy or install the Software.

1. Purpose

The Software is a Windows utility that measures the space used by folders and files, displays drive usage and installed applications, searches for files by name and lets you remove items. It includes:

a) file and folder deletion, to the Recycle Bin by default or permanently at your explicit request;
b) deep uninstallation: the official uninstaller, a search for leftovers (folders, registry keys, shortcuts and services), forced removal, and monitoring an installation by comparing two snapshots of the system;
c) instant search, which indexes file names in a folder you choose;
d) update checks as described in section 6.

2. License granted

The publisher grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license:

a) to install and use the Software on computers you own or control, with no limit on the number of computers;
b) with no time limit (a “lifetime” license: it does not expire as long as you comply with this agreement);
c) for personal or professional use.

3. What you may not do

a) resell, rent, lend or redistribute the Software;
b) make the Software available for public download;
c) decompile, disassemble or modify the Software, except where applicable law permits;
d) remove copyright or authorship notices.

The Software is licensed, not sold. The publisher retains all intellectual property rights in its code and visual elements.

4. Data and connections

The Software has no telemetry, advertising or account. Its only connection is the update check described in section 6. It writes only to your computer, under %LOCALAPPDATA%\StorageManager: a cache of measured sizes, your preferences (theme, language and update settings), a local error log and, depending on the features you use, sauvegardes\ (registry exports written before cleanup), surveillance\ (system snapshots) and index\ (indexed file names). The privacy policy explains these operations in detail.

5. Deletion and deep uninstallation

The Software does not delete anything by itself. You request and confirm every deletion after seeing the list of items to be removed. Items identified as belonging to Windows or another installed application are shown but cannot be selected. Before deleting a registry key, the Software exports it to sauvegardes\. A key is kept if its export fails, and “Undo a cleanup” reimports the saved keys. Files go to the Windows Recycle Bin unless you choose permanent deletion, which cannot be undone. On a drive without a Recycle Bin, such as a network drive or USB drive, a request to move an item to the Recycle Bin is refused instead of being carried out as permanent deletion.

These precautions reduce risk but cannot remove it entirely. Identifying an application's leftovers relies on indicators such as names, folders and Windows entries. You remain responsible for the items you choose to delete and for backing up your data, particularly before permanent or forced deletion.

6. Updates

At most once a day, the Software asks the publisher's site whether a new version is available. The request contains no identifier or personal data and can be disabled in the Help window. A new version is installed only when you click “Update” and only after its electronic signature (Ed25519) and hash match those published by the publisher. Updates are free. The publisher is under no obligation to publish them or ensure compatibility with future versions of Windows.

7. Terms of sale

Price. €2.99 including all applicable taxes, for a perpetual license. The small business VAT exemption scheme applies, so VAT is not charged.
Order. On the Buy page, you provide your email address, accept this agreement and pay on SumUp's secure page. The contract is concluded when payment is confirmed.
Payment. By card on a page hosted by SumUp Limited. The publisher never sees your card number.
Delivery. Immediate by download. The confirmation page shows a personal link, which is also emailed with your numbered receipt. The link always provides the latest published version.
System requirements. Windows 11 or Windows 10, 64-bit.
Invoice. Available on request at the contact address.

8. Right of withdrawal

If you are a consumer, you have 14 days from the conclusion of the contract to withdraw without giving a reason. The publisher does not ask you to waive this right. It remains available even after you have downloaded and installed the Software.

To exercise it, tell us of your decision in a clear statement, preferably by email to info@storagemanager.shop, including the email address used for the purchase or your receipt number. You may use the form below, but this is optional. We will refund the amount paid within 14 days of receiving your request, using the original payment method and without a fee. After withdrawal, stop using and uninstall the Software.

9. Warranty

Consumers benefit from the statutory guarantee of conformity for digital content under Belgian law. Outside this guarantee, the Software is provided “as is”. The publisher does not guarantee that it will be error-free or suitable for a particular purpose. Nothing in this agreement limits the publisher's liability for gross negligence, fraud or personal injury.

10. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, the publisher's liability is limited to the amount you paid for the Software. The publisher is not liable for data loss resulting from deletion you requested and confirmed, or for business losses or indirect damage.

11. End of license

The license ends automatically if you breach this agreement or exercise your right of withdrawal. You must then stop using and remove the Software. Sections 3, 9, 10 and 12 continue to apply after the license ends.

12. Governing law and disputes

This agreement is governed by Belgian law. If you have a problem, contact us first and we will respond as soon as possible. Consumers may also contact the Consumer Mediation Service free of charge. Belgian courts have jurisdiction, without prejudice to a consumer's right to bring proceedings in the courts of their place of residence.
